Where to start?
It’s like the last-mile logistics challenge: plenty of choices for all prior transport - but this last mile is comparatively complicated, costly, and hard to complete on time.
In Additive Manufacturing, too, there are these last-mile steps to be taken to deliver your part to the printer. After all: having the perfectly designed part, doesn’t mean you can just hit the “print” button. And although these last-mile operations involve quite a few critical steps, it shouldn’t be hard, costly, and complicated.
This is essentially the AMIS Pro proposition for #SLS, #MJF, #BJ and #MJ users and OEMs, and it's perhaps our main conclusion from Formnext 2024.
Formnext shaping AMIS
The AMIS team was blown away by the positive feedback on our AMIS Pro product launch, and by the sheer number of visitors at our booth. At times, people were lining up to get an AMIS Pro demo. It’s definitely confirmed now: this is a product that meets a real need.
As is the case at Formnext, most visitors were experts in their field, with an intention to collaborate and take AM further, together. Invariably, this resulted in positive, lively exchanges, with generously shared feedback.
All this feedback has meanwhile been analysed and prioritised and now, it's shaping our AMIS Pro v 2.1 - coming your way on 31/01.
By the way: by popular request we just added (amongst other): customizable boxing of small parts.
And Formnext 2024?
We'll remember it as the AMIS breakthrough moment.
